Adjacent to the reception at the bank's London headquarters was an empty annex the client wished to utilise to enhance the visitor area. The Image Refinery was commissioned to design, produce and install graphic elements based upon the theme; a "Journey through Time", charting the bank's history.
The site was surveyed and the amount of content required to occupy the space determined. After consultation with the client to establish what artifacts and archival material were available, we submitted 3D visualisations of the installation with the proposed elements in-situ.
The next stage involved dividing the room into zones or "chapters on the timeline", taking into account the structural features of the space. Work then commenced on design and production.
The build was completed overnight ready for the official opening the following morning.
Take a look at the short video walk-through of the museum. We'll apologise in advance for the poor quality. The pictures were taken on a smart phone by one of our fitters at 4:00am, after working a straight 18 hours on the installation.
With no natural daylight and only bright spots lighting the room he produced a set of pictures even our Photoshop skills couldn't resolve! To view the artwork see the project file flip book.
